Montezuma’s surf breaks are great for beginner/intermediate surfers. If you've never surfed but always wanted to learn, this is the place! Liora caught her first wave in Montezuma after taking a lesson with Montezuma's chillest surf instructor, Ngo - who you will surely meet.

Extending your trip and looking for larger waves? The nearby town of Santa Teresa should be on your radar. 

Experience the thrill of the open road and take in the beautiful scenery of Montezuma with a rental ATV or bike. With a variety of trails to explore, you'll have the freedom to discover the area at your own pace.

Explore the natural beauty of Montezuma on a horse with a horseback riding tour along Montezuma's beaches and jungles. You might even discover a unique waterfall not accessible by road!

Certain to be one of the highlights among the activities, we invite you to join us for a group boat trip to Tortuga Island. Explore the beauty of the nearby Tortuga Island by snorkelling to see exotic marine life, dipping into crystal-clear waters and partying on white sandy beaches. In the meantime, let us know whether you'll be joining by checking off your interest when you RSVP for the wedding.

A hike to Montezuma’s waterfall is a must. You can expect to see this as one of the group activities we'll be inviting you to join. Though the jump can be a little intimidating at first, it’s an exhilarating experience.

Bioluminescence is one of the most spectacular phenomena in the region. Swim or kayak through bioluminescence rich waters and experience the night ocean light up.

Discover the taste of Montezuma’s Butterfly Brewing Co. & Imago Brew Pub with a flight of local beer. A little gem located high on a hill overlooking the jungle with a great vibe, music and breeze. Perfect after a strenuous hike to the waterfalls. Fun fact: they used to have a butterfly garden on their property. We’ll have to wait to find out if that’s still open for guests to explore.

The Montezuma Waterfall Canopy Tour is one of the zone’s premier attractions. It takes you into a deeper and different perspective of how our nature looks from another angle, feeling the wind and pure oxygen, while the adrenaline flows through your veins.

Montezuma is incredibly rich with diverse wildlife. Take a stroll down the street and we bet you'll come across an animal you didn't expect to see (or hear).

We are working closely with Hotel Amor De Mar, which will be reserved for our wedding guest's exclusive pleasure, to set up a volley ball net on the grounds. Stay tuned!

Montezuma gets some incredible Sunrises. Amor De Mar, the hotel that will be closed down for our wedding guest's exclusive pleasure, is among the nicest spots to lean back and indulge in the extraordinary views. 

Take on the trails and discover the beauty of Montezuma with a mountain bike.

Discover the natural beauty of Montezuma with a walk to Reserva Natural Absoluta Nicolas Wessberg. There are no roads to this magical place so you’ll have to walk it… but you can expect to find yourself immersed in nature mostly without anyone around.  There is also a secluded beach 20 minutes into the reserve that is perfect for a magical and romantic sunrise surf or swim.
